Niki de Saint Phalle became famous through her Nana-figures, expressive and coloured polyester sculptures of women. She worked together with the Swiss new-realistic artist Jean Tinguely, whom she later married. Together with him, she created her most famous work of art, the Stravinskyfontain, which is situated close to the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
